1990-1995 36 12-FEB-1992 20:10 MVA on Bull run road. Two teenage males in Corvette took out street sign, hit heavy pole flipped and really destroyed passenger side of car. Some cutting required to get out driver who had flail chest and incredibly deep laceration on forehead, unconscious, extremely difficult for paramedic to intubate (mouth, nose, then mouth) Considerable vomit in airway on each intubation attempt except last. Nurse from chopper finally got a good airway going and bagging started just about time he stopped breathing on his own. From call to lift of chopper: 40 minutes. Dub Bell, Casey Sked, Frank Fechter, Kirk Schmitt (standing in car) on crew of PN40. Other male was beneath first male and was extricated with more difficulty, coded, and was pronounced dead at Fuld.
